Resin bonding involves skillful “free hand” restoration of your teeth using a cosmetic tooth coloured resin filling material. The procedure is performed in a single visit.
- A shade of resin is carefully selected to match the shade of your teeth
- Depending on the case, the teeth may or may not need any preparation prior to application of the resin
- The tooth surface is treated with a special gel (“etchant”) to prime the surface of the tooth for optimal bonding of the resin
- The resin is meticulously sculpted to the desired shape of the tooth & then cured (“set”) with a high intensity light
- The resin is shaped & polished to a high lustre to provide a beautiful finish to the shape of the tooth.
